RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $795.00 be allowed
under contract number G-895 between the City of Saint Paul
and the F. E. Iluimby Company, said contract for Replacement
of Built Up Roof on the Public Safety Building located at
101 East Tenth Street, St, Paul, Minnesota, and said extra
to cover takin. care of the slate surfaced base flashing
which is deter orating, this work having been requested by
the Commission_r of Public Safety, and agreement made with
the Contractor, and a memorandum of said agreement having
been filed with the Comptroller and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir:
Contract N mber G-895 was awarded to the F. E. Quimby
Company for rep acement of Built Up Roof on the Public
Safety Building located at 101 East Tenth Street, St. Paul,
Minnesota.
During the course of the work under this contract, it
has been found rat the slate surfaced base flashing is
deteriorating, and it is a question whether or not it would
last the life o' the new roof, and at the request of the
Commissioner of Public Safety, negotiations have been con-
ducted with the Contractor who agrees to take care of this
base flashing for the additional amount of $795.00 which is
a reasonable a ount for the labor and material involved.
It is the efore requested that a resolution be submitted
to the Council authorizing an extra to contract number G-895,
said extra in he amount of $795.00 and to cover the above-
described work.
