The person who started the petition for grading the alley has now sold his home. The grading wil raise the hill in the back of our homes on Edga . Ave. to an even higher level than we now have. T e danger of cars coming over the bank into our ho es will be increased by making the bank higher. Some of us do not use the alley nor intend to build :arages or to park our cars there. The alley gr ding will be only an asset to the few car owner • with garages. The high cost o 53 . 05 per foot to each owner was not anticipated •y many of the signers. Some merely signed the pr-vious petition for this grading to go along with the neighbors. We do believe a light leveling grading and merely cutting down -ach end to provide drainage can be done and benei it us all sufficiently. We do appeal t the council to drop this present plan. We thank you.
