That the Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota
corporation, on behalf of itself and the employes
who will be using the aforementioned property, agrees
to save the City harmless from any and all claims or
causes of action arising in any manner whatsoever out
of the aforesaid use of said property by said Northern
States Power Company and its employes ;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Northern States Power
Comply is further required to file an acceptance or consent
to the terms and conditions of this resolution by an officer
authorized by said corporation to bind it to the terms and
conditions herein imposed, said acceptance or consent to carry
the corporate acknowledgement of said Northern States Power
Company, and reciting said officexts authority to file they
consent or acceptance required herein.

WHEREAS, the Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota
corporation, has indicated to the Public '.Yorks Department of
the City of Saint Paul that the high tension line construction
activities of said corporation are now centering in the vicinity
of'Sale Street Garage, and have further indicated that they are
about to commence work in the area of the Great Northern Railway
Company right-of-way at the south limits of the Municipal Garage
property, and
':NHEREAS, said Northern States Power Company seeks permission
to park approximately 20 employe-owned cars, together with 1
headquaters trailer on the municipal property near the afore-
mentioned railway property, for a period of approximately 2 months
and
WHEREAS, said Northern States Power Company, by letter dated
September 3, 1957, addreseed to Richard heeler of the Department
of Public Works, over the signature of George E. Peterson, Division
Supervisor of Land and Claims, indicates that the Company is
prepared to hold the City harmless from any and all claims or
causes of action arising out of the aforementioned use of the
City' s property by said Company and its employes, and
Whereas, it further appears that the possibility of any
claims or causes of action arising out of the aforementioned use
of the City property by said Company and its employes is extremely
remote, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that subject to revocation by the Commissioner of
Public .forks at any time, permission is hereby extended to
Northern States Power Company and to certain of its employes, to
park approximately 20 employe-owned cars, together with 1 head-
quarters trailer on municipal property at the said Garage at
Date and Burgess, the parking area to be des ' 2nnted by the
Public Works Department, subject to the folioting conditions :

Our high—tension line cons ruction activities are now centering
in the vicinity of your ga age at Dale and Burgess. We are about
to start work in the area •f the Great Northern Railroad Company
at the south limits of the Municipal Garage property.
We ask permission to park approximately 20 employee owned cars
along with 1 headquarters trailer on your property near the
railroad. Our activities should last about 2 months.
If permission is granted, we agree that we will hold the City
harmless from aq claims 'r causes of action arising out of the
use of the property in t,e manner requested. We will also pay
a reasonable rental for he use of the property as may be
determined by you.
