Resolution Ratifying Assessment
In the matter of the ass ssment of benefits, costs and expenses for
changing the grade of the east and west alley in Block 1, Elfelt, Bernheimer and
Arnold's Addition fr Western Avenue to Virginia Street, to conform to the grade as
shown on the profile file in the Department of Public Works. Also regrading and
paving with 6" one co se concrete pavement the east and west alley in Block 1,
Elfelt, Bernheimer an Arnold's Addition from Western Avenue to Virginia Street to
the proposed change of grade,
under Preliminary Order_____i_174.209 , Intermediary Order 171+620 , Final Order 11119k9
approved November 7 19.55__.
A public hearing having been had upon the assessment for the above improvement, and said assessment
having been further considere by the Council, and having been considered finally satisfactory, be it therefore
RESOLVED, That the s id assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified, and the same
is hereby ordered to be sub itted to the District Court of the County of Ramsey for confirmation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and it is hereby determined to be payable
in equal inst llments.

In the matter of the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for
changing the grade ofIthe east and west alley in Block 1, Elfelt, Bernheimer and
Arnold's Addition, from Western Avenue to Virginia Street, to conform to the grade
as shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works. Also regrading
and paving with 6" one course concrete pavement with east and west alley in Block 1,
Elfelt, Bernheimer and. Arnold's Addition, from Western Avenue to Virginia Street to
the proposed change of grade,
under Preliminary Order 1714209 , approved July 19, 1955
Intermediary Order 174620 , approved August 16, 1955
Final Order 174949 , approved November 17, 1955
To the Council of the City of St. Paul:
The Commissioner of Finance hereby reports to the Council the following as a statement of the ex-
penditures necessarily incurred for and in connection with the making of the above improvement, viz:
Cost of construction. $ 3,035.80
Engineering $ 176.46 _
Inspection fees $ 60.4
Postal cards. $ 0.78
Publications $ 5.85
Court costs for confirmation 1.95
Total expenditures $ 3,281.28
Said Commissioner further reports that he has assessed and levied the total amount as above ascer-
tained, to-wit: the sum of $ 3,281.28 upon each and every lot, part or parcel of land deemed
benefited by the said improvement, and in the case of each lot, part or parcel of land in accordance with
the benefits conferred thereon; that the said assessment has been completed, and that hereto attached,
identified by the signature of the said Commissioner, and made a part hereof, is the said assessment as
completed by him, and which is herewith submitted to the Council for such action thereon as may be
considered proper. �
