WHEREAS St. Paul Courtesy Benches, Inc. posted fees in full
with courtesy bench applications for various dates totaling 585.00,
these fees should have been on a pro rata basis to December 31 next
as provided in license ordinance; therefore be it
RESOLVED that a refund of 38.83 be made to St. Paul Courtesy
Benches, Inc. to reimburse them for the above overpayment as per
list on file with the City Clerk.

Dear Sir:
Referring to City Ordinance No. 10020, C.F. No; 162100.
An ordinance to license and provide for the installation
and maintenance of benches on public walks and ways and
for the regulation thereof.
Section 1, P(d ) "Provided that if the period for which
the origional license is granted is less than one year, a
pro rate license fee shall be charged to the nearest month."
It seems that during 1957, we made applications for
seventeen licenses, disregarding the pro rate feature by
paying the full 0.00 fee.
Appended hereto is a list of such applications
showing that we overpaid the city the amount of *38.83.
Shouldnt we be entitled to a credit or refund of this
amount?
