RESOLVED, That the Council her 0, -pproves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Construction of New Ornamental
0 Lights on Rice Street from Sherburne Avenue to Sycamore Street to COMMONWEALTH
ELECTRIC COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto
attached and the Formal Bid #6538 of said Commonwealth Electric Company for the
contract price of $38,673.00 (Unit prices bid to be used in determining the value
of any additions and 80% of unit prices to be used in determining the value of
any deductions in the work to be done under the plans which may be ordered by the
City), (Plus Engineering $773.00 by City Forces,) such bid being the lowest and
said Commonwealth Electric Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of
contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute
said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
