Eckl, an employe of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injured in a third party accident on May 16, 1957, while engaged in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public Safety, when he was struck by a Radio Cab driven by Leonard S. Warren; and WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expenses in the amount of $20.25 in connection with said injury, and has paid the employe $35.42 in salary while he was disabled for work because of said injury; and WHEREAS , a settlement has been negotiated between the parties whereby the employe will receive the sum of $340.00, and the said employe has offered to reimburse the City for its medical and salary expense in the total amount of $55.67, be it theref ore RESOLVED, The proper City officers are hereby authorized to accept said settlement in the amount of $55.67, and that of said sum, $20.25 be credited to Fund 31-G1-B, and $35.42 be credited to Fund 7-C-1.
