WHEREAS, William Gillet , an employe of the Department
of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injured in a
third party accident on June 6, 1957, while engaged in the
performance of his duties for the Department of Public Safety,
and the City has incurred medical expenses in the amount of
$66.00 therefor, and the employe, by reason of said injury,
was disabled for work for a period of six working days , being
paid the amount of $126.00 therefor; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated by the
parties in the total amount of $580.00, including the amount
of $192.00 to which the City was subrogated for medical expense
and salary, and that the sum of $48.00 representing attorney's
fees is to be deducted from the latter amount, leaving $144.00
to be paid to the City toward its expenses and wages paid the
employe, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, The proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept said settlement, solely for the amount due it in
connection with the personal injury sustained by said employe,
in the amount of $144.00, on behalf of Roland 0. Leuzinger,
the third party involved in said accident ; and be it further
RESOLVED, That of said sum of $144.00, $66.00 be
credited to Fund 31-G1-B, and $78.00 be credited to Fund
7-C-1.
