WHEREAS on July 23, 1957, the City Council of the City of
Saint Paul did pass Council File 183844, a resolution
authorizing an increase in the membership of the
Port Authority of the City of Saint Paul, and for
the exercise of the functions and responsibilities
of such new Port Authority, under and pursuant to
Laws of the State of Minnesota, 1957, Chapter 812,
and
WHEREAS a copy of said resolution is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS the Mayor of the City of Saint Paul, pursuant to
the law hereinabove referred to, has advised this
Council that under said law he has appointed the
members of such Port Authority, said communication
of the Mayor being dated the 14th day of August,
1957,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Saint Paul that the members of such Port Authority,

The City Council,
City of Saint Paul.
Gentlemen -
Inasmuch as the City Council, on July 23, 1957, did adopt Council
File #183844, by which resolution the City Council of the City of
Saint Paul did authorize an increase in the membership of the Port
Authority of the City of Saint Paul to seven members thereon - -
And, further, did authorize and direct that the reconstituted Port
Authority should, in the public interest, begin operations under
the powers given by Laws of the State of Minnesota, 1957, Chapter
812 - -
And, further, inasmuch as the said law referred to provides for
the appointment of the members of such new Port Authority by the
Mayor with the approval and consent of the governing body of the
City of Saint Paul - -
Therefore, the undersigned, as Mayor of the City of Saint Paul,
does hereby appoint to the new Port Authority of the City of
Saint Paul, under and pursuant to Laws of the State of Minnesota,
1957, Chapter 812, Section 2, the following members to serve upon
the said Port Authority:

Dear Sir:
On the 21st day of August, 1957, the new Port
Authority of the City of Saint Paul, acting pursuant to
Laws of Minnesota 1957, Chapter 812, did meet in formal
session of organization, the members of said new Port
Authority having been named formerly by the Mayor of the
City of Saint Paul and his recommendations having been
concurred in and approved by formal Council action.
At said first meeting, each of the appointees
to said Port Authority of the City of Saint Paul signed
an acceptance of appointment to said Port Authority.
I am herewith handing you for filing the accep-
tance of appointment signed and executed by each of the
seven appointees to said Port Authority.
