Levenberg, an employe of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injured on December 17, 1956, while engaged in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public Safety, when he was struck by a truck driven by Alfred Eckardt ; and WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expenses in the amount of $100. 25 in connection with the injury to said employe, and has paid the employe salary in the amount of $36.45 while he was disabled for duty due to said injury, or a total expenditure by the City of $136.70; and WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated between the parties whereby the employe will receive $605.50 and the City will be reimbursed in full for its expenditures, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are hereby authorized to accept said settlement, in the amount of $136.70, from the State Automobile Insurance Association, insurer of Alfred Eckardt, the third party involved in said accident, said amount to be credited as follows: $100.25 to Fund 3l-G1-B, and $36.45 to Fund 7-C-1.
