RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in accordance
with the pertinent requirements of Sec. 454 of the Home Rule Charter of said
City, that said Council hereby, in all things, approves that certain proposed
project of the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul,
mentioned and described in said Board's Resolution adopted July 30, 1957, a
duly certified copy whereof is filed herewith, for the extension of the
public Water Works System of said City necessary for the purpose of furnishing
a full supply of water to the inhabitants of said City, and to involve, among
other things, the taking and condemnation by said Board, under the power of
eminent domain, therefor, of those certain lands situate in the County of
Ramsey and State of Minnesota, described as follows, to-wit:
Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Block 5 of Furness, Garden Lots, accord-
ing to the plat thereof filed on the 13th day of November A. D.
1908 and recorded in Book 24 of Town Plats, at page 19, in the
office of the Register of Deeds in and for said County of Ramsey,
containing 5-42/100 acres of land, more or less.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that said Resolution of said Board, by reference,
hereby is incorporated herein and made part and parcel hereof, with the same
intent, purpose, and effect as if said Resolution of said Board were set
forth herein verbatim; and tha - said project thereby proposed by said Board,
said proposed taking and condemnation and every other action of said Board
thereby proposed, shall be and the same are in each instance hereby approved
and authorized.
• RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Corporation Counsel be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to provide and perform all requisite legal services
for and in the institution, conduct, and completion of appropriate proceedings
in eminent domain for said proposed taking and condemnation by said Board of
said hereinabove described real estate, which shall thereupon become and be
an integral part of said public Water Works System of said City.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that all costs incurred and to be incurred necessarily
for said extension of said public Water Works System and for said condemnation and
taking of said real estate by said Board shall be paid from City of Saint Paul
Water Department Fund 23.

171-PR.F,AS, for the purpose of furnishing an adequate supply of pure water to the inhabitants
of the City of Saint Paul it is necessary to extend the waterworks system of said city to
and so as to comprise certain lands situate in Section 23 in Township 29 North of Range 22
West in the City of Saint Paul and County of Ramsey, Minnesota, NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, by the Board. of eater Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul, that said certain
lands which are more particularly described. as follows, to wit:
Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Block 5 of Furness' Garden Lots, according to the plat
thereof filed on the 13th day of November A. D. 1908 and recorded in Book 24
of Town Plats, at page 19, in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for
said County of Ramsey, containing 5-,12/100 acres of land, more or less,
be condemned and taken for the purpose aforesaid; and, be it
RESOLVED, 1T TRER, that the plat or map numbered W-54407 which. has been presented. by the
General manager and whereon are set forth, delineated. and described all said certain lands
to be condemned and taken, as aforesaid, also all other lands, if any of these there be,
which will be affected by flowage or drainage or otherwise by reason of the extension of
the waterworks system as aforesaid, be and the same hereby is accepted and approved. and
that the President and eurveyor be and they hereby are authorized and directed to execute
the appropriate certificates set forth on said plat or map, and thereafter, t:i file said
plat or map of public record, as required by law; and, be it
REeOLVED, FTT.RTTTER., that a certified copy of this resolution eye presented. to the Council of
the City of Saint Paul and that honorable body be requested to confirm and approve this
action of the Board of ','rater Commissioners and to approve and authorize said extension of
the waterworks system, all costs of said extension and of the condemnation and taking of
said certain lands to be paid out from the Mater nepartment Fund 23; and, be it finally

to proceed forthwith to accomplish and complete said condemnation and taking of said certain
lands according to law.

of a resolution of the said Board. as adopted by the Board on July 30, 1957, with

copy of said original and the whole thereof.
