An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9874, entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the compensation
of judges of election and the rate of
pay for attending instruction meetings,
including carfare",
as amended.
approved February 6, 1952, This is an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 9874, approved February 6,
1952, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
by striking from Section 1 thereof the following: "Twelve
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($12.50) per election day", and by
inserting in lieu thereof the following : "Fifteen Dollars
($15.00) per election day".
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force upon its passage, approval and publication.
