RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering
to the City of St. Paul Water Department Purification Plant, Soo Line
Siding, St. Paul, Minnesota, One Years Supply (to July 15, 1958) - approximately
450 tons - Solvay Liquid Chlorine in carload shipments of 30 tons each, to
MATERIAL SUPPLY CORPORATION at a contract price of approximately $38,160.00
f.o.b. point of delivery, in accordance with City specifications and the
Formal Bid #6490 of said Material Supply Corporation, said bidder being a
reasonable and reliable one and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is
directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper
City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf
of the City of St.Paul.
