WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners heretofore did
employ the services of Toltz, King, Duvall , Anderson & Associates ,
Inc. and the Twin City Testing Laboratories, Inc. to make a
complete soil and structural study relative to the safety of the
18, 000,000 gallon Snelling Reservoir, and
WHEREAS, such study has reached the point where the advice
given by the consulting engineers to the Department is that
approximately 600 feet of the east wall and connecting parts of
the north and south wall which were built upon filled material
will necessarily need to be stabilized to prevent any further
movement of the wall, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners , on April 10,
1958, passed a resolution, a copy of which is attached hereto,
accepting the recommendation of the engineers that the proposal
of Intrusion Prepakt, Inc. be accepted for the purpose of carry-
ing on such stabilization as is necessary in regard to said
Reservoir, the said proposal of Intrusion Prepakt, Inc. being,
to-wit: The undertaking of such preliminary work as is necessary
to determine the results which may be accomplished by the method
which said firm will pursue in order to furnish conclusive data
to the engineers of the advisability of the continuation of such
stabilization, and following the preliminary work which is to be
undertaken by the said Intrusion Prepakt, Inc. , for cost of
service not to exceed $2, 125.00, to undertake all the necessary
fill and construction work necessary to accomplish the result
based upon all of the studies by them and others heretofore made ,
now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul , on the
recommendation of the Board of Water Commissioners and the
consulting engineers thereto in connection with said project,
that the Board is hereby authorized to hire and employ the services
of Intrusion Prepakt , Inc, for the preliminary survey and study
above described, for a fee of not to exceed $2, 125.00, and thereafter,
upon proper authorization of the Board of Water Commissioners
