COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia klas
reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from March 2nd through March 29, 1.956 which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries,
Auditorium, Museums and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium, more than eight hours per
day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating system and also to supervise
during the maw activities held in the building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
No other trained help available to work during basle tball
tournaments, Shrine Circus, conventions and Boat Show held
in the building. This time includes Saturdays and Sundays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of
the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
