RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing all required materials,
supplies,equipment, tools and plant, to perform all necessary labor, and to
construct, erect, equip and complete all work stipulated in and required by
Contract No. 4, Purification and Filtration Plant, 1958 Extension, to
M. J. McGOUGH COMPANY in accordance with City of St. Paul Water Department
specifications and plans therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #6956 of
said M. J. McGough Company, for the contract price of $1,297,000.00 (unit prices
bid to be used for additions to or deductions from amount of piling specified) ,
such bid being the lowest and said M. J. McGough Company being a reasonable
and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to
draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials
hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul.
