Honorable Robert F. Peterson
Commissioner of Public Safety
Dear Sir:
In regard to the application of the Texas Company for permission
to install one-4,000 gallon capacity No. 2 diesel fuel tank above ground
and one fuel dispensing electric pump on the premises of the Twin City
lines, located at Snelling and University Avenues.
The pump and tank will be located at the Southwest corner of their
property. Both pieces of equipment will be located 100 feet East of their
fence along Snelling Avenue and 10 feet North of their fence along St.
Anthony Avenue. They will curb along the bottom of the tank which will
be filled with sand. The purpose of this is to provide a footing so the
tank can not roll.
This will be a temporary installation for test purposes only and
for a period of 6o days.
We have investigated the foregoing and report that the installation
as they propose to install it will not create any additional fire hazard
and we, therefore, recommend that permit be granted.
