WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accord-
ance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emer-
gency during the period from March 1, 1958 to March 31, 1958, which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department
of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours
per week, in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance
and EREAS, this emergency arose by reason of th following facts
and circumstances:
To replace employees on sick leave
AFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accord-
ance with the provision of. the Councills Salary Ordinance No. 6L46.
