COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM

WHEREAS, an examination for the position of "Director of
City Planning" is to be scheduled in the near future, and
WHEREAS, investigation makes it evident that a sufficient
eligible list cannot be obtained from among residents of the city, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the city to
recruit for this position on a nation-wide basis; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the residence requirements as provided in
Section 16 of the Civil Service Rules be waived for the forthcoming
examination for the position of "Director of City Planning".
