B. Hartzell for a permit to establish an employee parking lot with a capacity of fifteen (15) cars on the property located at the northwest corner of Clear and Arcade. The property is described as lots 5 and 6, Block 3, King's Arcade Park and has a frontage of 93. 53' on Arcade and 123. 59' on Clear. As indicated on the applicant's plans an insurance office building 64-1/2' x 62-1/2' is to be constructed on the S. E. corner of the property and an employees' parking lot with a frontage of approximately 59' on Clear Ave. and extending northerly to a depth of approximately 93' is to be constructed on the western portion of the lots. The property is zoned "commercial. " The land immediately to the north is developed commercially and Arcade Street between Arlington and Ivy is commercial in character. The plans are in accordance with established standards and the Traffic Engineer has approved the lay-out and operation. Field investigation discloses no objection. In consideration of these factors and the desirability of off- street parking in order to minimize traffic congestion, the Board of Zoning recommends that the permit for the par ing lot be granted in accordance with the plans approved O 3, 1957.
