RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering
equipment for the Fridley Pumping Station (Contract #1) to the City of
Saint Paul, Water Department, f.o.b. cars Fridley, Minnesota, Great Northern
Siding, as follows:
To: DE LAVAL STEAM TURBINE COMPANY
One 17,500 Electric Motor-Driven Horizontal Centrifugal Pumping Unit
for the contract price of $27,166.00
To: ELECTRIC MACHINERY MANUFACTURING COMPANY
Electrical Equipment consisting of Metal-clad switchgear, metal-clad
motor controller line-up, and 60-cell 125-volt station battery,
complete with all necessary appurtenances and accessories
for the contract price of $28,800.00
in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the
Formal Bid #6735 of said bidders, such bids being the lowest and said bidders
being reasonable and reliable bidders and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and
the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contracts on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
