COUNCIL RESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM

WHEREAS, Edward Bednar, prior to his death on March
14, 1956, was employed as a Fire Fighter in the Department of
Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul ; and
WHEREAS, in connection therewith, the office of the
Corporation Counsel has negotiated a compromise settlement
with said employee' s surviving widow, Alma Bednar, in accordance
with the terms of the Stipulation which is attached hereto and
made a part of this resolution by reference; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Corporation
Counsel's office that the proper City officers be authorized to
enter into such Compromise Settlement on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul,
Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Office of the Corporation Counsel
be authorized to enter into said Compromise Settlement and to
execute the Stipulation for Settlement on behalf of the
City of Saint Paul.
