RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering
to the Department of Public Utilities, Lighting Warehouse, 100 East Tenth
Street, St. Paul, Minnesota, 200 Joslyn J-97256C Street Lighting Luminaires
with Jefferson Ballasts #236-311 for Mercury Vapor Multiple Lighting and
75 Deflectors to fit same to BLAINE ELECTRIC COMPANY at a contract price
of $14,770.00 in accordance with City specifications and the Formal Bid
#6739 of said Blaine Electric Company, such bid being the lowest and said
Blaine Electric Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form
of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized
to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
