The distribution of the increase between wages and fringe benefits is determined each year by the bazgaining unit. This rate is subject to further increase or decrease by the State of Minnesota. Vacation carry over shall be paid in accordance with Section I H of the Saint Paul Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation. Vacation must be approved by the Head of the Department. C-1 o�t- � �y APPENDIX C (Continued) The above rates in Appendix C inciude the $2.76 tasable Credit Union deduction wluch includes the $0.48 tasable Market Recovery Fund deduction. Also, included in the above rates is the $4.49 taxable amount paid directly to employees as part oftheir wage in lieu of a contnbution to the Supplemental Pension. After appearing on the payroll for 1040 hours in the first step, an empioyee in the Sheet Metal Inspector classification may be granted a wage increase to the second step. Effective May 1, 2010 (or closest payroll period), there will be an additional $2.45 per hour increase added to the total package. The parties will agree prior to that date regarding the distnbution of the $2.45 between wages and fringes. This amount will be decreased by any increase in industry funds. The distnbution will include an increase of $0.21 per hour, to $3.15 per hour, for the National Pension Fund contnbution. If the iTnion elects to have the contributions listed in Appendix D increased or decreased, the Employer may adjust the above applicable rates for participating employees in such a way that the total cost ofthe package (wage rate plus contnbutions) remains constant. G2 C�`1-� � �{ APPENDIX D Effecrive May l, 2009 (or closest pay period) the Employer shall: (1} conhibute to a Welfaze Fund $6.63 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees. (2) conhibute to a Local Pension Fund $3.58 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees. (3) contribute to a Narional Pension Fund $2.94 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees. (4) deduct and forwazd to a Vacarion Fund $2.76 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees. (5) conhibute to the Journeyman and Apprenriceship Training Fund $0.55 per hour for all hours worked by participaring employees. (6) conhibute to the National Scholazship & SMOHI Fund $0.03 pex hour for all hours worked by participating employees. (7) contribute to a Labor Management Fund $0.02 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees. (8) contribute to the NTF/NEMI fund $15 per hour for all hours worked by participating employees. The Employer will not make the above conhibutions for Holidays or vacarion. The above contributions may be increased or decreased as long as the applicable hourly rates in Appendix C for participaring employees are decreased or increased by the same total amount. All contributions and deducrions made in accordance with this Appendix shall be forwarded to depositories as directed by the Union. The Employer shall establish Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Compensarion programs as required by Minnesota Statutes. The Employer's fringe benefit obligarion to employees is limited to the contributions and/or deduchons established by this Agreement. The actual-level of benefits provided to employees shall be the responsibility of the Trustees of the various funds to which the Employer has forwazded contributions and/or deduchons.
