RESOLVED, that Melvin Spiegler/be permitted to install
and operate a private parking lot on the north side of Nest
Seventh Street between Chatsworth Street and Otto Avenue,
on Lots 12 and 13, Block 1, Rogers Fort Street Addition, in
accordance with applicantts plans approved October 15, 1957
and subject to compliance with the provisions of all ordinances
governing the operation of parking lots, and to the further
condition that sidewalks abutting said premises be kept
clean and free of, ice and snow at all times.

This is in the matter of the application of Melvin Speigler, for a permit to
install and operate a private parking lot on property located on the north
side of W. 7th between Chatsworth St. and Otto Ave. This property is describ-
ed as Lots 12 & 13, Bloct 1, Rogers Fort Street Add. The zoning is Commercial.
The property under consideration is presently vacant and has a frontage of
80 feet on W. 7th and extends northerly a distance of 113 ft. The applicant's
propose to utilize the site for an 11 unit apartment building ana provide oil-
street parking for 12 cars at the rear.
The proposed Layout and peration have peen approved by the Traffic Engineer.
The plans meet existing tanaards for this type of facility. The adjacent land
uses are as follows: A ublic filling station is to the west on W. 7th, two
vacant Lots right to the east on W. 7th, single family residences are across an
alley to the north. Sa ny Vacum Oil Co. 's tank farm is across W. 7th to the
south. Field investigat'on discloses no objection from the standpoint of ad-
jacent land use or traf ic.
In consideration of these factors the Zoning Board recommends that this permit
to establish a customer parking lot incident to this 11 unit apartment building
at this location he granted all in accordance with applicant's plan approved
Oct. 1b, 1957.
