An ordin. nce amending Ordinance No. 7537,
approved Janu. ry 18, 1934, entitled :
"An !ordinance regulatingthe sale of
intoxicating liquor within the City of St.
Paul, providing for such sales by duly
licensed persons , establishing regula-
tions for the operation of places where
such intoxicating liquor is sold, pro-
viding regulations for the granting of
such licenses, setting license fees ,
providing penalties for the violation
thereof , and repealing all inconsistent
ordinances. This is an emergency ordi-
nance rendered necessary for the preser-
vation of the public peace, health and
safety;"
as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1 That said Ordinance No. 7537, approved
January 18, 1934, a amended, be and the same is hereby further
amended by striking out the first paragraph of Section 17 thereof
and by inserting in lieu thereof the following paragraphs :
"The icense fee for an 'on sale' license
is hereby . ixed at the sum of Fifteen Hundred
Dollars ($0 ,500.00) per year, provided, how-
ever, that the payment of the said license
fee may be made in two equal amounts of Seven
Hundred Fi ty Dollars ($750.00) each, the
first to b- paid before February 1 of each
and every ear, and the second payment to be
made befor - the 1st of August each and every
year. The licensee must present his original
license to the City Clerk when paying the
second hall fee due before August 1st, or

plication ;or transfer.
"If t e licensee applies 'for a transfer
of the license before August 1st of any year,
the license must pay the remaining $750. 00
due before he application may be processed.

in this ordinance provided for is revoked or

Saint Pa 1, no license shall be granted
to the said licensee nor any license re-
instated until the said licensee has paid
the full sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars
($1,500. .0) for that specific year in which
the lice se was originally granted. Anyone
applying for a license in place of one which
has been suspended or revoked must pay the
full lic -nse fee due for the remainder of
the lice se year before said license may
be issue. . "
Section e. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force thirty da s after its passage, approval, and publication.
