WHEREAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recrearion, through its Senior Citizen Program offers many events, classes or activit�es during
the year: and,
WHEREAS, the public purpose of these events is for Sauat Paul residents to experience education, fun, self esteem, self re]iance,
a sense of social belon�ing and the eliminarion of boiedom and loneliness; and
WHEREAS, many of these events, classes and actrvities are centered around the product�on of ineals and/or food as part of the
activ�ty. Saint Paul Paiks and Recreation iequests pecnussion to purchase food for the events (detailed on attached sheet); and
WHfiREAS, these Senior Qtizen Progrnm events aie scheduted tluough 2009 and reqwre staff to participate working; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is author�zed to purchase food for Senior Citizen
Programs offered and authorize staff working the events to participate in meals and other food offered.
