An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 7607, entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the duties and responsi-
bilities and the minimum qualifications for the various
classes of positions in the Classified Service of the City, "
approved February 13, 1935, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
striking out the title and specifications for Workhouse Matron.
Section 2. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by inserting in its proper alphabetical
order the following specifications for Matron--Health Bureau:

Duties and responsibilities:
Under supervision, to have charge of the custody and care ci
women prisoners en route to and from the Ancker Hospital,
to keep records; and to perform related work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To escort women prisoners suspected of venereal diseases, to
and from the Ancker Hospital and to have charge of these
women while they are at the hospital for examination.
To take personal and medical histories from patients.
To prepare commitment and release papers on women prisoners.
To maintain records and keep files.
Minimum qualifications: i.
High school graduation. Must be not less than 25 and not more
than 45 years of age, and must be in good physical condition.
