WHEREAS, William Z. Kuczaboski, an employe :of
the Department of Public Utilities of the City of Saint
Paul, was injured on January 30, 1957, in a third party
accident, while engaged in the performance of his duties
for the Department of Public Utilities ; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred medical expenses
on behalf of said employe, because of said accident , in the
amount of $15.98, and the employe, by reason of said injury,
was disabled for work for one day, being paid the amount of
$22.89 therefor; and that there was damage to City Truck #68
involved in said accident , in the amount of $84 .00 (Registered
Bill No . 2-3658) ; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated by the
parties whereby said employe will receive the sum of $25.00
in settlement of his claim agains t the party causing the
accident , and the City will receive the sum of $122.86
for medical expense and wages paid said employe, and for
damages to the City truck involved ; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, The proper City officers are hereby
authorized to accept said settlement in the amount of $122.86
from Casualty Underwriters , Inc. , insurer of Bernard Kroll,
the third party involved in the said accident , the amount of •
$15.98 to be credited to Fund 31-G1-B, the amount of $22.88
to be credited to Fund 22-8; , and the amount of $84 .00 in
settlement of Registered Bill No. 2-3658.
