A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council having
heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered the same;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is partially opening, widening and ex,
tending the proposed Shepard Road by
condemning and taking an easement for
bridge and highway purposes on and
across the following described tract of
land, all in the City of St.Paul, County
of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, to-
wit:
All those parts of Lots 61, 63, 64 and
65, Block 28, Subdivision of Blocks 28
and 29 in Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's i
Addition to St. Paul, included within
a strip of land 74.50 ft. in width across
the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and
Omaha Railway Company right-of-way,
and the Council hereby orders said improv,the northerly line of said strip being

Partially opening, widening and extending the proposed Shepard Road by
condemning and taking an easement for bridge and highway purposes on and across
the following described tract of land, all in the City of St. Paul, County of
Ramsey and State of Minnesota, to-wit:
All those parts of Lots 61,63,64 and 65, Block 28, Subdivision of Blocks 28
and 29 in Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's Addition to St. Paul, included within a strip 1
of land 74.50 ft. in width across the Chicago, St. Paul, Minnespolis and Omaha
Railway Company right-of-way, the northerly line of said strip being 35.50 ft.
northerly from and parallel with a reference line herein described and the southerly
line being 39.00 ft. southerly from and parallel with the same reference line, said
reference line being described as follows:
Commencing, for the purpose of establishing the reference line of the
aforesaid strip of land, at the northeast corner of Government Lot 4, Section 12,
Township 28 North, Range 23 West, Fourth Principal Meridian; thence north on the
east line of said lot produced northerly a distance of 94.86 ft. to a point;
thence at an angle to the right of 81°49' 30" on a straight line in an easterly
direction a distance of 569.44 ft. to the point of intersection with the center
• line of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway Company right-of-way; e
thence easterly on the said straight line extended to the easterly line of the
aforesaid right-of-way.
Also condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes,

shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public Works.
Also a temporary easement for construction purposes in those parts of
Lots 59,60,61,62,63,64 and 65, Subdivision of Blocks 28 and 29, in Stinson,
Brown and Ramsey's Addition included within the right-of-way of the Chicago,
St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway Company, extending from James Avenue
to Randolph Avenue.
The Commissioner of Finance further reports that he has investigated all of the aforesaid matters, and
hereby submits the foregoing as his report thereon to the Council, together with the report made to him in
reference to said matter by the Commissioner of Public Works.
