Winkel 5 COMMISSIONER DATF Feb Feb. o, 1 8 WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from January 30, 1958 to February 5, 1958 which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Works for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Removing snow from city streets and sanding icy streets And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances : Keeping city streets free from snow and ice . THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council ' s Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446. Council File No. 186070—By Adrian P. Winkel— Resolved, That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Public Works for extra employment as de- scribed in the resolution.
