held November 2, 1954, provided for
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, by Ordinance No.
10369, passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on
September 21, 1954, and as ratified and approved by a majority
of the electors of said City at the election held November 2,
1954, provided for the issuance and sale of Five Million, Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,500, 000. 00) par value in and of
Water Works Bonds of said City for the purposes of extending,
enlarging, improving and bettering the Water Works System
owned and operated by said City; and
WHEREAS, to date there has been issued the amount of
Four Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,500, 000.00) of
said bonds ; and
WHEREAS , it now has become and is advisable and neces-
sary that the remaining One Million Dollars ($1, 000, 000. 00) par
value in and of said bonds be issued and sold for the purposes
described in the said Ordinance and further described herein,
with all convenient speed, inasmuch as the Board of Water
Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul, by its resolution
adopted as of even date herewith, has found and requested,
Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul
issue and sell at this time One Million Dollars ( $1 , 000,000.00)
par value in and of said bonds, pursuant to and in accordance
with said Ordinance No. 10369, the pertinent Charter provisions
of the City of Saint Paul and the Statutes of the State of
Minnesota made and provided therefor.
