PRELIMINARY ORDER.
The undersigned hereby proposesthe making of the following public improvement by the City of Saint Paul, viz.:
Partially opening, widening and extending the proposed Shepard Road by condemning
and taking an easement for highway purposes on and across the following described
tracts of land in Government Lot 4, Section 12, Township 28 North, Range 23 West,
Fourth Principal Meridian, and Lots 7 and 8, Auditor's Sub No.45, extending from the
east line of said Lot 4 to the northeasterly line of Stewart Avenue Addition, lying
within a strip of land 100 ft. in width, except that part lying inside the existing
fence, northerly of the 4°0' curve to the right and except Drake Street, the center
line of said 100 ft. strip being described as follows:
Commencing, for the purpose of establishing the point of beginning, at the
northeast corner of the said Government Lot 4; thence south on the east line of the
aforesaid lot a distance of 568.50 ft. to the true point of beginning; thence0in a
southwesterly direction on a straight line making an angle to the right of 31 23' a
distance of 400.90 ft.; thence on the arc of a 4°0' curve to the right, the ceeei'al
ang- e of which is 39°50' 50", a distance of 996.18 ft.; thence on a tangent to the
last described curve a distance of 95.86 ft.; thence on the arc of a 300' curve to the left,
the central angle of which is 16°0l' 10", for a distance of 533.93 ft.; thence on a
tangent to the last described curve to its intersection with the northeasterly line of
Stewart Avenue Addition.
Also condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes, cuts and
fits in the grading and paving of the proposed Shepard Road in Government Lot 4,
Section 12, Township 28 N rth, Range 23 West, Fourth Principal Meridian, and Lots 7
and 8, Auditor's Sub No.45, between the east line of said Lot 4 and the northeasterly
line of Stewart Avenue Addition to the grade as shown in the profile on file in the
Department of Public 'Works.

the central angle of which is 16°01' 10", for a distance of 533.98 ft.; thence on a
tangent to the last described curve to its intersection with the northeasterly line of
Stewart Avenue Addition.
Also condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes, cuts and
fills in the grading and paving of the proposed Shepard Road in Government Lot 4,
Section 12, Township 28 North, Range 23 West, Fourth Principal Meridian, and Lots 7
and 8, Auditor's Sub NO.45, between the east line of said Lot 14 and the northeasterly
line of Stewart Avenue Addition to the grade as shown in the profile on file in the
Department of Public Works.
