WHEREAS., The Department of Ptiblic Works is in the
process of acquiring a site for a yard for the storage
or equipment and materials required in the construction
and maintenance of public street; and
WHEREAS, Included in said site are certain lands
forfeited to the State of Minnesota for nonpayment of
taxes;
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That application be
made to the Commissioner of Taxation of the State of
Minnesota, under the terms of MSA, Section 282.01, sub. 1,
for a conveyance for use as a yard for the storage of
equipment and materials required for the construction
and maintenance of public streets of the following described
unimproved lands:

Gentlemen and Madam:
Due to the sale and impending devel-
opment of the West Side Quarry site, it is necessary for
this department to re- locate the present yard used for
the storage of equipment and materials required in the
construction and maintenance of streets.
Included in the site to be acquired
are certain tax- forfeited lands described as (except
street) Lot 5 and the south of Lot b, Block 2, Morrison's
Addition to 'Jest Saint Paul. I, therefore, request that
application be made to the Commissioner of Taxation of
the State of Minnesota for a conveyance under the terms
of MSA, Section 282.01, sub. 1.
