WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul contemplates
a great deal of work in connection with the additional water conduit from the tdississippi
River; and
WHEREAS, the Board anticipates that in connection with said project and with
other projects in the Water Department, it will from time to time require the additional
professional services of a Land Surveyor, which services it desires to obrain on an
hourly or per diem basis, the expenditures in connection with such services being
estimated at approximately $3,000; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Dater Commissioners is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract for the period from January 15, 1958, to and including January 14, 1959"
with Charles 0. Georgi, who is a Registered Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor, for profession-
al services to be paid for in accordance with the scale hereinafter set forth:
1. Rate for farm or miscellaneous surveys
a. 2-man party
b. 3 -man party
c. Additional men on party (to be set by
classification)
2. Office work, drafting, drawing of descriptions,
consultation
3. Testifying in court or depositions
4. All materials used by the surveyor are extra, for
which the Department will reimburse the surveyor.

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the office of Corporation Counsel is directed to prepare
an agreement to effectuate the provisions of this resolution; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the payments by the Board of Water Commissioners for all
work in connection with the aforementioned contract shall be made out of the Water Depart-
ment Fund.
