09-616Council File # �/ / �(Y�[L Green Sheet # 3070383 1 2 3 4 S 6 7 8 4 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 3Q 31 32 OF Presented RESOLUTION PAUL, MINNESOTA � RESOLVED, Rule 10 of the City of Saint Paul Civil Service Rules establishes the effective periods for probation for City positions and the process to be used if an employee's service is deemed unsatisfactory; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the interest of the City under certain circumstances to provide fornner probationary employees the opportunity for reemployment with the City; and WHEREAS Rule 10 must be amended to give the Human Resources Diractor the discretion and authoriry to approve a former probationer's petition to be reinstated to an original entrance eligible list; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the authority granted in the Section 12.06 of the Saint Paul City Charter, the City Council hereby approves and amends Rule 10 to include an additional section, 10.5, as set forth below to authorize the Human Resources Director to exercise his/her discretion and consider petitions of former probationary employees to be reinstated t� original entrance eligible lists.
