RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering for the Fridley
Pumping Station (Contract #1) to the City of Saint Paul, Water Department, f.o.b.
cars Fridley, Minnesota, Great Northern Siding, One 20 -inch two -speed direct currert,
electric motor - operated Cone Check Valve, complete with operating mechanism, controls,
and accessories, to S. MORGAN SMITH COMPANY for the contract price of $8960.00 in
accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
!6735 of said S. Morgan Smith Company, such bid being the only bid for this item,
and said bidder being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel
be and hereby is directed to drag= up the proper form of contract therefor and the
proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
the City of Saint Paul.
