WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums, and Stadia has
reported in accordance with Section 51 of the City Charter, the
existence of an emergency during the period from December 1 to 31, 1957
inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees
in the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums, and Stadia,
Bureau of Public Libraries, for more than eight hours per day or forty
hours per week in doing the following work:
(1) Covering regular Bookmobile schedule, (2) Covering Bookmobile
schedule during illness of driver.
AndIvMREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:

during illness of driver.
THEREFCIRE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby author-
ized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with
the provision of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance ;Vo. 6446.
