Dear Sir:
According to the amount of work and responsibility
held by our Senior Bookkeeper- Cashier, it would appear
to me that he is not being fairly compensated.
His duties and responsibilities are to handle all
fines and bail and all other accounting that is involved
in the transaction of business in the Criminal Branch.
This amounted to approximately $511,707.00, in fines
and other payments during the year, 1957. He also
handles the payroll, handles all posting of bonds and
appeals of criminal cases, makes daily deposits for the
Municipal Court, and keeps all statistics for both
Criminal and Traffic Courts, which in itself is quite
a time - consuming job.
He is now in Standard Range 47; and, I request an
increase to Standard Range 49, an increase of about
$29.00 per month, which, I believe, is not beyond reason.
Yours very truly,
ROBERT E. OTTE
Clerk of Municipal Court
