"An ordinance fixing the duties and responsi-
bilities and the minimum qualifications for the various
classes of positions in the Classified Service of the City,"
approved February 13, 1935, as amended.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,
1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by inserting
in its proper alphabetical order the following specification for
MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - -WATER DEPARTMENT

Does Ordain:
SECTION 1
That Ordinance No. 7607, approved)
February 13, 1935, as amended, be and
the same is hereby further amended
by inserting in its proper alphabetical
order the following specification for
Title of class:
MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR —
WATER DEPARTMENT
Duties and responsibilities:
Under supervision, to drive trac-
tors, loaders, and similar motor-
ized equipment used in the Water
Department; and to perform re-
lated work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To operate tractors and small bull-
dozers.
To dig ditches, back fill, and load
trucks with motorized equipment
such as front loaders and diggers.
Minimum qualifications:
Eighth -grade education and 100
hours of officially recognized and
recorded training time on this
type of equipment in the Water
Department, or four years' exper-
ience as a Truck Driver in the
City service.

SECTION 2
This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force thirty days after its pass-
age, approval, and publication.
