under Contract Number L- 5738 -A between the City of Saint
Paul and the Sheehy Construction Company, said contract for
General Construction of the Public Health Center Building,
St. Paul, blinnesota, and said extra to cover the construction
of a Basement Room, this work having been requested by the
Commissioner of Public Safety, and agreement made with the
Contractor, and a memorandum of said agreement having been
filed with the Comptroller and countersigned by him,

Contract Number L- 5738 -A was awarded to the Sheehy Con-
struction Company for General Construction of the Public Health
Center Building, St. Paul, Minnesota.
During the course of the work under this contract, it
was found desirable to construct a basement room, all construction
and painting to match the existing, and at the request of the
Commissioner of Public Safety, negotiations have been conducted
with the Contractor who agrees to construct this basement room
for the amount of $540.00 which is a reasonable amount for the
labor and material involved.
It is therefore requested that a resolution be submitted
to the Council authorizing this extra in the amount of $540.00
to contract number L- 5738 -A to cover the above described work.
