Peterson- Wherea T' of !za'rt tof.i. -i WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul heretofore commenced an action entitled, City of Saint Paul, Plaintiff, vs. Stafford R. Calvin, which action arose out of an automobile accident which occurred on the second day of October, 1955, wherein Police Officers George J. Karel and Anthony J. LaNasa were injured when the police vehicle in which they were riding collided with a vehicle being operated by Stafford R. Calvin; and WHEREAS, the police officers also commenced personal injury actions against said Stafford R. Calvin and others as a result of said accident; and WHEREAS, the police officers' personal injury actions were consolidated with the action by the City for the purposes of trial; and WHEREAS, the police officers, prior to the trial of said actions, negotiated settlements with the insurance carrier representing the third parties involved in said accident; and WHEREAS, the City has been entered a draft in the amount of $700 from Casualty Underwriters, Inc., in full, final and complete settlement of the property damage to its vehicle as represented by Registered Bill 3 -2658 in the amount of $1,599.76, Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That on the recommendation of the office of the Corporation Counsel, the proper City officers are hereby authorized to accept the draft of Casualty Underwriters, Inc. to the City of Saint Paul in the amount of $700, in full, final and complete settlement of the City's property damage to:its vehicle resulting from the aforementioned accident; and be it further COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays DeCourcy Holland Marzitelli Mortinson Peterson Rosen Mr. President, Dillon SM 2.57 „ 2 In Favor Against Adopted by the Council 195— Approved 195— Mayor Original to Cily Clerk t , CITY OF ST.
