Whereas, The City of Saint Paul has

W1-EREAS, the City of Saint Paul has heretofore
received a draft in the amount of $347.65 representing full
settlement for medical expenses incurred by the City because
of an injury sustained by Police Officer Gust John :'.Tondo as
a result of a third party accident on June 6, 1957, said sum
also representing reimbursement for wage loss incurred by
the Department of Public Safety resulting from said accident
and disability to said Gust John P1londo; and
WHEREAS, said settlement was heretofore authorized
by C. F. 185247, which settlement failed to provide for payment
of attorney's fees to Richard Newcome, the attorney for said
City employee, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are authorized
to pay to said Richard Newcome an amount of $86.91, said amount
representing attorney's fees to the extent of 25 per cent of
the City's recovery by Officer �Jlondo against the third party
involved in the aforementioned accident; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are authorized
to execute the necessary releases in full settlement of all City
claims resulting from the aforementioned accident; and be it
finally
RESOLVED, That Council File N,. 1852.47 is modified
to the extent herein provided.
