WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by and concurs
in a report of the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public
Buildings that a sudden andKunexpected emergency has arisen by
reason of a leaking and seeping of lake waters out of Lake Como,
and that if the said situation is permitted to exist great
damage and injury will be caused to the said Lake and adjoining
property, and
WHEREAS, it appears that funds appropriated to the
said Department are insufficient to adequately and properly
protect the public interest, now therefore be it
RESOLVED by that Council of the City of Saint Paul
that under Charter Section 206, said Council does hereby
authorize the Nlayor and the Comptroller to borrow temporarily
a sum of money not to exceed $2500.00 at an interest rate not
to exceed four per cent, to meet such emergency, and to execute
and deliver to the parties making the loan such evidence of
indebtedness as is necessary under the circumstances.
