the attached application of Lloyd Stransky for permit to install
and operate a customer parking lot on the W2 of Lot 6 and all of Lots 7,
8 and 9, Block 2, Watson & Rice Subdivision "C" of Block 1, Stinson,
Brown & Ramsey's Addition, located at the southeast corner of Richmond
and W. Seventh Sts., in accordance with applicant's plans approved
November 4 1957.

This is in the matter of the application of Mr. Lloyd Stransky
1.or a permit to install and operate a customer par�.ing lot on
the property located adjacent to the southeast corner of Richmond
and west Seventh Streets. This property is described as the
west one -half of Lot 6 and all of Lots, 7, 8 and 9 - Block 2 -
Watson & Rice Subdivision "C�l of block 1. Stinson, Brown &
Ramsey's Addition. The zoning is "light industry. "
A one -story concrete block building is presently under con-
struction on this site which has a frontage of 144' along W. 7th
and approximately 53' along Raymond. The applicants propose
to utilize this site as a cus) omer - parking lot in conjunction
with an off -sale liquor store. The parking lot will have a
capacity of 14 cars.
The plans approved November 21, 1957 meet existing standards
and have had the layout and operation approved by the Traffic
Engineer. Field investigation discloses no objection from the
standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic.
Applicant has provided a satisfactory buffer area between the
residents to ,the south and the parking lot operation. Access is
to be from both W. 7th Street and Richmond. The property will
be suitably fenced and surfaced in accordance with existing
standards.
In consideration of these factors the Zoning Board recommends
that this permit be granted in accordance with the applicant's
plans approved November 21, 1957 subject to the City Council
granting an off -sale liquor license for this property which
informally was approved by the Council on October 15, 1957.
