This is in the matter -of the application of Liberty State Bank for a permit to
install and operate a drive -in bank facility on the property located on the south
side of Dayton between Snelling and Saratoga. This property is described as Lot 11,
all of Lot 12 except west 11.64• of the south 35.331, Block E, Boulevard Addition.
The property is presently vacant, a single - family home having been recently torn
down. This property has a frontage of some 70r along Dayton Ave. and extends approx.
1191 south. The applicants propose to utilize the site as a drive -in teller opera
tion in conjunction with their bank building which fronts on Selby to the south.
Applicants also have a parking lot immediately to the west and south with access
from both Selby and Dayton. The drive -in teller building will be located some 27 *1
from Dayton Ave. and in line with the existing homes in the block. The proposed
building will also be some 251 west from the nearest home on Dayton. The four
homes to the east are owned by the owner of the property under consideration, namely,
the Lambert Lumber Company.
The adjacent land uses are as follows: single - family homes are to the.north across
Dayton and to the east; a tavern and restaurant are to the west; a parking lot is
to the south together with several commercial businesses fronting on Selby Ave.
Aacess to bbe property will be from one entrance only on Dayton and one entrance
on Selby with another exit only on Dayton.
The proposed lay -out and operation have been approved by the.Traffic Engineer.
Field investigation discloses no objection from the standpoint of adjacent land use
or traffic.
In consideration of these factors the Zoning Board recommends that this permit to
operate a drive -in banking facility be established at this location in accordance
with plans approved November 21, 1957.
