11HEREAS, Under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 11012, approved
June 4, 1957, the Car Allowance Committee, provided for in
said Section 2, has reported to the Council its findings and
recommendations in a letter dated December 19, 1957, and
WHEREAS, The Council has made a study of the said report and
recommendation of the Car Allowance Committee, now therefore
be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the
following employees listed below, in the city department or
bureau set out, shall be entitled to and receive the basic
mileage allowance provided for in Ordinance No. 11012, Section
1, subject to the maximum set out opposite the name of said
employee, as listed herein, pursuant to the provisions of
said Section 1 relative to the maximum provided for car allow-
ance for employees, and effective on the date set out opposite
each name:

In accordance with Ordinance No. 11012, Council File 182842,
and the Resolution contained in Council File 182872, the Car Mileage
Allowance Committee has passed on certain requests received from
Department heads for the placing of certain individuals on the basic
car allowance plus mileage as authorized in the ordinance and
resolution.
The following is a list of the employees, together with the
maximums to be paid under the basic car allowance or Plan B, as
approved by the Committee, as well as the effective date of the
authorizations:
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, PLAYGROUNDS AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS
Mrs. Opal Tews - - - - -- $35.00 - -- November 1, 1957
John A. Fletcher - - -- $75.00 - -- December 1, 1957
It will be necessary for the Council to approve or disapprove
the requests and the action of the Car Mileage Allowance Committee
before mileages can be paid under Plan B.
