RESOLVED, that the proposed acquisition by the City of Saint
Paul for Water Works purposes of the following described real
property situate in the County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota,
to -wit:
Lots 4, 5 6 and 7 of Block 5 of Furness' Garden Lots,
according to the plat thereof filed on the 13th day of
November A. D. 1908, and recorded in Book 24 of Town
Plats, at page 19, in the office of the Register of
Deeds in and for said County of Ramsey, containing
5.42 acres of land, more or less;
having beenleretofore approved by this Council and the Committee
on Lands, in the premises, having procured an option for the
purchase of the same according to the terms and conditions of
that certain Option Contract dated November 1, 1;;57, executed
by the record owner of said premises Hillcrest County C1ub,Inc.,
a Minnesota Corporation, as grantor, to City of Saint Paul, as
grantee, for the purchase price of $10,000.00, and the purchase
of said real property by said City for said purchase price
under and according to the terms and conditions of said Option
Contract having been recommended by said Committee on Lands,
and it being deemed expedient and in the best interests of said
City that said real property be accordingly purchased by said
City and for said purchase price of $10,000.00 deemed _oeasonable
therefor; that the proper City officers be and they hereby are
authorized to purchase said real property and to pay said purchase
price therefor from Water Board Operating Fund No. 23, upon the
delivery to said City of the Warranty Deed of said Hillcrest
Country Club, Inc., as grantor, conveying a good and marketable
title to said real estate and all thereof unto said City, as
grantee.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that, despite any contract provision hereof
the grantee under said Warranty Deed may be designated as "Board of
Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul" or "City of Saint
Paul ", at the election of said Board.
