BOARD OF ZONING, CITY OF SAINT PAUL FX'IH 516 N:231 -252 -233 1313 CITY HALL AND COURT HOUSS SAINT PAUL 2, AIINNSSOTA :December 10, 1957 Mr. Joseph Okoneski City Clerk Building Dear Sir: This is in the matter of the application of the Cities Service Oil Co. for a permit to construct one 16 ft. island with two pumps and to ,install one 12,000 gallon gasoline storage tank on property located at the SE corner of Snelling Ave. and Wynne St. The property is described as part of the south 2 of the north z of the northwest I of Section 27, Township 29, Range 23 having a front- age of 230 ft. on Snelling and 660 ft. on Wynne. The property is zoned as Light and Heavy Industry. The property is presently used as a new car parking terminal with a private filling station to service the trucks which transport cars. The applicant proposes to add the one pump island and the one storage tank to the present operation. These are to be located to the south of the existing facilities and the proposed expansion will be served by the existing driveway from Snelling Ave. The adjacent land uses are :?s follows: to the west across Snelling Ave., Shiely Sand and Gravel Corp,; immediately to the south, an auto repair garage and equipment storage yard; to the east auto parking storage area; and to the north across Wynne St., single family horaes. The plans meet existing standards and field investigation discloses no objection from the standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic. In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board recommends that the permit be granted in accordance with plans approved Dec. 5, 1957. Since ' r , C. D.
