WHEREAS, the City Architect has requested the City
Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints
about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in
removing a dangerous structure at 967 Rondo Avenue, Saint Paul,
more particularly described as Lot 12, Block 1, Donnelly's
Addition to City of Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record
owners of the property are Anna E. Conter, c/o Martha A.
Monleif, 1823 Robbins Avenue, Minneapolis 2, E. A. Conter,
M. B. Conter and Wm. A. Conter (Shakopee Lime & Cement Mfg.
Company, Saint Paul 2}; Ray W. Allard, Attorney, 510-2 Endicott
Building, Saint Paul 1, Attorney General of the State of
Minnesota, 107 State Capitol, Saint Paul 2, Commissioner of
Taxation, 209 State 'ffice Building, Saint Paul 2, Leonard
Seamer, Land Commissioner's Office, 286 City Hall, Saint Paul
2, and Mrs. D. D. DeCouxcy, Land Commissioner, 113 City Hall,
Saint Paul 2, having been sent copies of proceedings herein;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint
Paul hold a public hearin'. in the Council Chamber at ten
o'click A. M. on the.27th clay of December 1957, to consider any
complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul
and to confirm the amount thereof: be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by
mail the record owners of the property in question at the last
known addresses, as well as the other parties above named.

date for hearing in the matter of confirming the cost to the city
in the amount of $20+.32 in connection with condemnation and wrecking
and removal of the barn at 967 Rondo Ave., as more fully described in
the attached letter of the City Architect.

A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk
on this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the
property known as 967 Rondo Avenue, St. Paul, described
as Lot 12, Block 1, Donnelly's Addition to City of St.
Paul. This property is owned by:

In this matter the following resolutions were adopted by the
City Council:
C. F. 181996, adopted March 19, 1957, published March 23,
1957, set a public hearing at 10 A M on April 16, 1957.
C. F. 182429, adopted April 23, 1957, published April 27,
1957, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and
expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control
thereof.
C. F. 182866, adopted May 16, 1957, published May 18, 1957,
directed the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds And Public
Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the
barn and do all things therein necessary for the protection
of life, limb, and adjoining property.

C. F. 183344, adopted by the Council June 18, 1957, pub-
lished June 22, 1957, approved the specifications prepared
by the City Architect for the wrecking of this building
and authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids.
C. F. 183886, adopted July 24, 1957, published July 27,
1957, approved the award of the contract for wrecking to
Truck Crane Service Co. fpr the sum of $150.00 in accord-
ance with specifications and formal bid No. 6495.
C. F. 185069, adopted by the Council November 5, 1957, pub-
lished November 9, 1957, provided that the wrecking expense
of $150.00 and the expenses of the Department of Parks,
Playgrounds And Public Buildings in connection with the
condemnation in the amount of $54.32, making a total of
$204.32, be paid out of Wrecking Condemned Buildings,
31 -G -23, and, in the event said sum proves collectible from
the owner, same is to be credited to 31 -G -23.
The building has been satisfactorily wrecked and a regis-
tered bill mailed to the owners.
We are requesting that the Council hold a public hearing
with ten days notice to consider any complaints about the
expenses incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council
resolution, confirming the expense, should end with a dir-
ective to the City Clerk to file a statement of expense for
the purpose of securing a lien on the property.
